Term 7: Bridge Builders

Children (ages 7-15) with Autism and/or developmental disablities are invited to attend this week of camp.  The camp program has been adapted to include many special measures that assist a child with autism to adjust to camp. Realizing that autism is a spectrum disorder, campers are grouped in the cabin with other people that are at a similar functional level.  The child with developmental disabilities, such as Down syndrome, TBI or any other cause for mental retardation is placed in a cabin group with campers that have similar ability levels, too.

Siblings are invited to attend this week.  Camper siblings have their own special program.  While the siblings will see one another at camp, they will not live in the same cabin.
